Being let down by words isn’t usually a matter of life or death. It’s just bad for business. But the disingenuous phrase saving the planet might be our undoing.
Climate change means we’ll see more extreme weather, more of the time. While our beautiful blue planet itself will be absolutely fine, global warming is set to cause mayhem and chaos for us humans.
We don’t need abstracts. We need a phrase that says it like it is. Something like save the future of the human race or save your grandchildrens’ future might do the trick. If the climate science community needs a marketing-focused freelance copywriter, I’m up for it!
