  2. Enterprising approaches: I’ve noticed a flurry of  marketers trying to flog me stuff via my website contact form recently, plopping their sales messages into the message box and submitting them. Not sure whether to admire their resourcefulness or get annoyed. On balance, admiration for their bare faced cheek wins. If I ever get a relevant offer, I might just respond.
  3. The Google news <keyword> tag: The Big G announced their news keywords meta tag last week. So what? So “by implementing the news_keywords meta tag you can specify which keywords are most relevant to your articles.” A blast from the SEO past, but a good one.
  4. Google’s Zero Moment of Truth: This has been around for ages but I completely forgot to mention it. It’s Google’s Zero Moment of Truth theory of marketing and, in a nutshell, it’s all about doing the best possible job of communicating to people at every stage of the sales process, right down the line.
